What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a treatment that uses Hypnosis to alter the way you feel and think and to change aspects of your life, which need improving or new direction. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural condition, which we experience every day of our lives, like daydreaming. We drift in and out of a hypnotic state all day long without being aware of it. Under hypnosis, we are capable of making significant changes to our thinking patterns and unlocking unlimited potential to improve and transform our lives.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis - meaning you are in control at all times. A hypnotherapist guides and empowers the client throughout the hypnotic process. This is a focused state of relaxation, in which the subconscious mind can achieve incredible transformations for beneficial purposes. Working together, the client and the therapist create positive and therapeutic changes, which can alter a person's life permanently. The focus is on the solution, not the problem.

Is hypnosis safe?

Hypnotherapy is 100% safe. There are no side effects and you are always in control.

Can everyone be hypnotised?

Yes, virtually everyone can be hypnotised. If you have the desire to make a change, then you will allow yourself to be guided into the wonderful and relaxing trance state. You cannot go into hypnosis against your will.

Why MG Hypnosis?

Michael and Marygrace have both trained with the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis at Kings College in London. Both studied to the Advanced Professional Degree Level and have had continued ongoing training and supervision since 2005. The classes range from Working With Children to Hypno-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. They read all updates in their field in magazines from their recognised professional bodies to updates on the web. Their training required a great deal of study, history of the therapies, case studies and final examinations, both oral and written. Both confirm, "it was hard work but worth it in the end, plus some fun times too".

What happens during the session?

We discuss what you want to improve or change. Then we agree the goals and desired outcome you want to accomplish. Next we'll work together with various techniques and hypnosis to achieve those results. This will take place in a tranquil, calming and relaxing environment. You can call now for an appointment.

Sessions and prices

Hypnotherapy

It depends on what you require assistance with changing. Giving up smoking or eliminating a phobia are usually resolved in one or two sessions while the majority of cases are treated in six sessions or less. Hypnotherapy is a result-based therapy. We will want to help you in the minimum number of sessions possible, so your motivation and desire to change will play a key role. You will achieve the results quickly and pleasantly. Together we will review your progress after each session. Fees are £145.00 for all first sessions (75 mins) and £60.00 for all follow up visits. Smoking Cessation is £250.00. To have a specialised CD tailor made for you is £45.00 following a full paid session.

Life coaching

Life Coaching provides direct support, guidance and encouragement that helps individuals identify and achieve their goals, in a practical, time-limited, structured and forward-thinking format. A skilled coach does not have all the answers - his / her skill is to draw the answers from an individual through appropriate questioning, thus developing their capabilities. Success is based on the collaborative partnership developed between an individual and their coach.

Life Coaching is available at a fixed fee per number of sessions agreed. The fee for one hour sessions by phone and face-to-face is £60.00. Please call to discuss your personal situation and what you would like to achieve. Try this simple exercise and see how smooth your wheel of life is?

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

CBT is a fantastic tool for learning to become your own therapist. We work together to stop the repetitive negative thoughts or habits and replace them with more constructive and positive thinking. You will learn how to stop and ask yourself helpful questions instead of automatically reacting to situations. Each individual has a unique experience so CBT is extremely personally tailored to your situation. The fee for a one hour session is £75.00.
